Straight from the news-room, we’re sad to say that at half-time today the Voltaren Kids found themselves 8 – 0 down against a confident, fired-up and youthful Petersham out at Hawkesbury.

But that was all to change ladies and gentlemen, as the geriatric warriors, your ever-loyal Zimmer-frame-bandits, came home strong in the 2nd-half to post a 22 – 8 win. Woo hoo!

That sees your Feisty-Friends Grand-Final bound with a week or R-and-R to mend, heal and recuperate.

We’ll be playing the winner of Petersham and Blue Mountains. Let’s hope they belt ‘da’fokkin’ shite’ out of each other next Saturday!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to try and yell louder than Dr Fokker, and we hope to see you all at the Grand Final in a couple of weeks.

Relax gents… next and final training session is Thursday 9th September.

Same place… same time … see you there… no excuses!

Run-on team and Grand Final squad will be announced at this session.

Do whatever you need to do in the next week-and-a-half to help bring home the silverware!

Le Grand Final

Norford Park, Sefton (Off Boundary Rd) on the 11th September.

Kick off is a staggering 10.30 am!

That means we need to be out there well before 9.30am. So no trivia-nights, all-night-raves or grog-fueled family get-togethers the night before please.

W.A.R. Bride founding members, even as we speak, are gathering the blue-and-gold apparel ready to cheer on The Feisty 4th’s to finals victory.

If you can make it, we’d love to see you all there.

And for some it’s the last hurrah, so come on down for a final time. Guaranteed we’ll be giving it our all.

Congratulation to our 4th grade minor premiers. A fantastic effort on Saturday against a tough Merrylands team gave us the title. Read the always entertaining match report.

The semifinal is being held Saturday at Deerubbin Park, Cornwallis Rd, Windsor. Kick off is at 11:20. Let’s get up and support this great bunch of guys.

Welcome to a very special match report… the one that finds your Feisty-Friends Minor Premiers for 2010! Woo hoo!

That’s right, after a hard-fought effort against a broad cross-section of Merrylands finest (oh yes… they threw everything at us!), the boys in Blue-and-Gold brought home the bacon with a 11 – 7 win.

And didn’t it feel good… great… triumphant even…

As the Good Doctor declared “Dat means we’re’da 58th best fookin’ team in dahola’Sydney! Fok-yeah! Takedat ya fokkers! Champion effort!”

Don’s Party…

…was a huge success. Jaquesy’s Bar & Grill proved itself to be simply the finest establishment on the North Shore last! Saturday evening.

Thanks to Cindy and ‘The Don’ for hosting a wonderful night.

And the bar itself… fantastic… And christened admirably with a selection of front-rowers dispersing liquids well into the wee hours. What hangover?

The Finals Squad and Run-On Team…

… will be announced at training on Thursday night.

Semi Final #1 Details…

…kick-off is EARLY… 11.20 to be precise.

Venue is DEERUBBIN PARK, Cornwallis Rd, Windsor… or as we know it, the paddock over the back from Hawkesbury Valley’s home ground.

Be there at 10.15 please… and bring your drivers licence ! / I.D.

There’s a palaver to go through, so! don’t be late!

And most importantly… come to win! Start thinking about it now gentlemen.

Brothers 4th Grade Minor Premiers 2010 (+ a selection of fruit-of-their-loins).

This year the ball is being held in the North Sydney Harbourview Hotel. The hotel is located here:

This year the ball kicks off at 6:30 with drinks in Blues Bar in the main hotel.

Then we will move into the ballroom where there will be a selection of free drinks until late.

Dinner will be served in the ballroom and while the three course meal in in progress we will start with the formalities.

After dinner, the speeches and the club awards will be concluded then we can get onto the dance floor with our own private DJ.

Accommodation.

The Harbourview hotel is providing discounted accommodation for the night if you attend the ball, please contact the hotel directly to enquire.

Getting there/away.

The Harbourview hotel is practically next door to North Sydney train station, therefore, it is extremely easy to get to and from. And there is a taxi rank next to the station.

Please note that car parking is not available at the hotel. We recommend car parks adjacent to the hotel, Wilson Parking (entrance via Blue Street) or the Greenwood Plaza (entrance via Pacific Highway). These carparks are managed independently and guests utilising these facilities are responsible for any charges incurred.

The Minor Premiership will be a mighty achievement but the silverware and the Premiership win in the grand final is the main objective.
