Math Report – 2nd Grade vs Petersham

The third last game of the season against Petersham the 2009 Second Grade Premiers.

Well, possibly a game of two halves, we won’t talk about the first half but concentrate on the second.

Players picked up their work rate and their tackling commitment and held Petersham out for only two tries. It may not sound a lot but a lot of the seconds had already participated in the Third grade game plus playing with fourteen men due to non contesting of scrums with Simmo out crook. Who would’ve thought props and! hookers could be so important!

Thanks go to Tristan, Andy Carroll,Elvis, Matt Gibbes and Liam for doubling up.

Standout efforts were from Daniel and Paul Gibbes in the backs (El Masri school of goal kicking for you Mr Gibbes) Justin Cook and Jon White in the forwards as well as Keith Bromwich (tackle around the waist Keith).

It was always going to be tough against Petersham but second grade kept at it and a fair bit of ticker was shown in the end.

We’ll get ’em next time.

See you at training,weather permitting.

Supercoach.
