A note from the President – A good year

With the closing of the year it gives us time to reflect on the season that past.

I have taken this a little further and looked back on our achievements over the past four years.

In 2010 we finished last in the 10 team 3rd division competition and relegation to 4th division followed.The clubs extinction was even spoken about by some.

What has happened since that time has been miraculous(good word for this time of year).We have dragged ourselves off the canvas and not only preserved our existence but have enhanced our place in the rugby community.

4th division to 1st division is a massive achievement in such a short time and is one that should be shared and celebrated by all that have been part of the journey.

Nothing can be taken for granted however success in 1st division will only come about by many working hard both on and off the field.

So to players/supporters/wifes/partners/girlfriends/sponsors/benefactors please come along  to help us celebrate the Xmas season and our past achievements as we look forward to the challenges of 2015.

The club will be putting on drinks and pizzas and on behalf of the committee I extend an invitation to join us on Friday evening.
