Colts – Away v Petersham

 A good result for Colts on the weekend with a 33-12 win over Petersham. Well done to Arthur Maikin with 3 tries and man of the match then backing up for First Grade and playing well. Other players to mention are Ben Kennedy who did a great job at full back,  his kick/chase was superb. Braydon Lenz also had a strong game at lock, taking the ball up well and pulling off some good hits.

We looked good in attack when all forwards got to the breakdown pulling in numbers, rolling it forward and giving space for Nathan to put Arthur in gaps and Ben Kennedy. Our ruck defence also looked good when we switched on put numbers in and were combative, Jake Tysoe and Daniel Anderson noted for some good hits on the fringes.

Thanks to Nathan Timbrell who really had us organised well before he went off injured. It was a good result and we can only improve with more numbers at training and more organisation. We have the makings of a good team and a good season ahead, lets all get to training this week for our first home game.
