End Of Season Belter
August 21, 2013Finals Footie
August 28, 2013A journey back to reality for Brothers last Saturday following their massive win over Barker the week before. In a tough match and without favour from the referee, Brothers grafted out a solid win against Forest to take out the Barraclough Cup Minor premiership, which is a great achievement in the clubs first year back in Second Division.
The game was a dour struggle in the forwards with Forest applying plenty of pressure but our forwards lead by John, Charlie and Lenny soon had the better of them as we went to the break 12-8 ahead. The penalty count was high against us which affected momentum but the boys soon got it together putting Bailles over for a double, Lenny in off the ruck and in a highlight of the game , Matty McIntyre scoring a try in his 100th game for the club- Well Done Matty a great achievement.
It was a good hard fought game and a good preparation for the semi`s next week
