Season 2022 gets underway. Finally….

Season 2022 finally gets underway.

With the weather closing the ground for the past few weeks it’s put a halt to getting our preseason training underway. All going well we’ll kick it off this week as we run into our trial games and a trip to Tamworth.

This year training will be moving to Wednesday nights from 7pm.

We hope this enables more people to make it as it should remove the Thursday night work clashes.

This year we’re looking at putting 2 Senior teams and a Colts team on the field. Planning and recruitment is going well but we need all prospective players to download and register via the Fusesport app so we can confirm numbers for the Subbies Divisional meeting at the end of March. About this time we’ll find out which division we’re in and get a view of the draw

So far we ‘ve got the following games lined up

• Subbies 7s (pending reschedule)
• 19th March – Tamworth Tour (25 Players heading up the New England Hwy by Bus)
• 9th April – Trial games v Balmain and Mac Uni @ Roseville Chase Oval

We’re trying to organise another game for the 26th March or 2nd April to have a couple of good runs before Easter and the season starting on the 23rd April.

As mentioned we’re looking at entering a Colts side into the Radford Cup this year. We’ve made a pretty good start on recruitment with about 15 already lined up. The Radford Cup runs for about 7 weeks plus finals and finishes up in July. We’ve got no fees and a swag of gear for the Colts so, line up your mates and come have a great time playing rugby at Brothers.
