Unsung heroes – From Ian Gibson
Every week there are many things that sometimes may go unnoticed. However, they represent input from which our Club derive great benefits.
Examples of this include Mark Durisic who not only helps to coach 3rd grade, but also tends to play a few games each week. He even played in our first grade side against Barker. John Gibbs is always on hand to fill in as required and Lenny Rarawa, now retired from first grade (and winner of B&F in last years Grand Final) who coaches third grade and helps to organise a contingent of Fijians who travel to games utilising their Church Community’s bus. This is all achieved with the help of Jone Tagivetaua, Wais Qalulu and his brother Philip (and I am sure a few others).
Paul Muller is another who quietly works away at getting players on the filed. An example of this was last week, he was the one who helped get Brad McGregor from the airport to the game last week. – Poor Brad, he flew in from Queensland and had to buy some new player kit as he did not have time to get home to pick up his normal stuff!
