4th Grade – Home v Old Ignatians
April 20, 20151st Grade – Home v Old Ignatians
April 22, 2015Brothers 10 – 38 Old Iggies
Unfortunately this week we simply did not turn up to play and were simply outplayed by an Ignatius team who were well organised and committed. What a difference a week makes, the week before we had go forward across the whole field in attack and we moved up in defence and pulled off some big hits.
This week we were content to sit back and watch Ignatius play their fast lateral game and clutch at jerseys in defence They won very easy ball from their lineout and shifted it wide and quick off everything.
Our lineout was shutdown and the pick and drive was generally poor so our back line got poor slow ball most of the time. Consequently we had few line breaks and our backline was shut down. The only part of the game that we were dominant was the scrum where we put on a lot of pressure at times.
All the best to Nathan Timbrell in his recovery, we look forward to seeing you back when you are fit and well.
