Merry Christmas 2022
December 22, 2022Pre Season 2023 Kicks Off
January 25, 2023Happy New Year to all our players, supporters, sponsors, and their families. Here’s wishing 2023 brings you everything you hope for.
We’re hoping the 2023 season won’t have interruptions from COVID or the weather we’ve experienced over the past few years. The last three years have been tough and we appreciate the commitment from everyone involved with the club over this time to create the successes we enjoyed.
We are looking for a bumper Season this year, both on and off the field, and as part of that, we want to attract as many people to the club as possible. And if you’ve played with us before we’d like to get you back and have a great time playing rugby.
All skill levels are welcome and no experience is necessary.
What’s Happening?
Seniors – We’re looking to increase the numbers in our Seniors. The past couple of years we’ve been just short of getting two teams on the field full time and we’d really like to make that a reality so that all players, regardless of capability can enjoy their time on the field.
Colts – Our Colts reformed in 2022 and we want to make that an even bigger success in 2023. For our Colts, there are no playing fees and we’ll kit you up with all the gear you need as well as plenty of social functions throughout the year.
Women’s Sevens – That’s right, for the first time in the club’s history we’re looking at getting a women’s 7s side together. It’s a great opportunity to become a founding member of Brother’s women’s team or should we say, SISTERS!! The competition plays approximately every 3 weeks in a gala day style competition throughout the year and, just like our Colts, there’ll be no playing fees with all the kit and benefits.
Register to play in 2023
In the meantime register your expression of interest to play and we’ll be in contact about training and registration

How you can help
The committee is working hard to make our dreams a reality but we need everyone to get involved. Word of mouth has always been the best method of recruiting and it remains so today. So get the word out to your family, friends, work colleagues, or anyone you meet over the holidays about the opportunities Brothers Rugby offers. Any playing queries can be directed to our Development Officer Rodger Shanahan at rugby@brothersrugby.com.au or on 0447440366.
Volunteer. As the old saying goes “Many hands make light work”. All we need to do to be a successful rugby club won’t be possible without people to help out with various roles. We need Coaches, Team Managers, Rugby Coordinators, Game Day manager, Qualified Assitant Referees, Ground Marshall, Social Co-ordinator & Committee as well as BBQ and Canteen attendants. There’s plenty to be done. Get involved and help make your club a success.
Pre Season
We’ll be kicking off early Feb so start getting ready for the year ahead. To make sure it’s fun we’re going to start things off with a barefoot bowls day and look like heading to Clovelly Bowls Club for something a bit different and a great outlook over the ocean.
And, following on from the success of last year, we’re also starting plans for our Brothers In The Country trip in March
