Welcome to our first newsletter for 2020.
Season 2020 is about to get underway with pre-season training kicking off on Thursday 6th February, 7 pm at Roseville Chase Oval with beers and BBQ to follow.
Adam Pisano will be joining us again as our fitness coach and is sure to get the sessions off to a good start.
This year there’ll be a real focus on developing fitness and skills across the grades with our sessions reflecting that approach.
We’re still to hear back from Subbies regarding which division we’ll be playing in but with Balmain looking like their dropping to 4th Division it’ll sure make for some interesting planning sessions down at Subbies HQ.
Regardless of which division we’re in it’s imperative that we get to training early in the season, build fitness and hone skills to ensure everyone enjoys their rugby.
Rally your mates and let’s get there in numbers to start the year off with a bang.

At this stage, we’re looking to have our annual Brothers In The City lunch on Friday 3rd July – make sure you put this in your diary and a don’t miss event.

Referees and AR’s
This year is going to pose some interesting challenges for all clubs in Divisions 1 to 4 in Subbies as all clubs in these divisions are required to have two members put through the referee’s course and have them field-tested.
These referees will become members of the applicable referee association and appointed as the 3rd-grade referee at each home game.
We are also required to provide four accredited AR’s.
This is a perfect opportunity for a retired player to maintain their involvement and support the club.
